Most of us think of working in a job that pays well, isn’t too difficult, has nice benefits, and you can live with it until retirement. But is it you? I’m Best When I’m MeI am a strong proponent of not just fitting into your livelihood, but fitting your livelihood to yourself. Maybe I’m just a misfit who hasn’t found a work environment working for others that has lasted. So I’m working for myself, with the intention of doing what inspires me and is inspiring and guiding to my clients. That makes me happy. And the more I fit my purposeful work to me, not just what I’ve been trained to do for people, the more it feeds me. I get energized helping people. I look forward to planning the right approach to best help the person I will be meeting in my next appointment. It’s a joy to know that my contribution of my true self is of benefit to someone else. Finding your best you might be working for someone else, or it might be taking what you love to do to the next level and creating a business around it. Waiting to Be Who You AreWe all have talents—a way with certain things or people—and often we keep them as a sideline, or hobby until we have time to do them full-time, which is usually after retirement. I know it can be scary to be fully dependent on yourself and to have to attract customers to hire you for your skill or come in to your business location. It can take time, and of course, it takes money. Retirement gives you a reliable income from a pension, savings, investments, etc. that you built up during your work life. For some, that is ideal. They are still young enough to spend their time on the things they love to do and, if they have a chance to earn a little money at it, all the better. Connection is LifeI believe that personal connection and purposeful service is why we were placed on Earth. Each of us contributes something to the lives of those around us. When we share our hobbies, our interests, what deeply touches us; when we help someone to finish a project, or show them how to do something more effectively, we gain in the process, and they do, too. Employment brings us into contact with others. If we remained solitary, we would never experience others’ true selves. When we touch others’ lives, we allow them to touch ours. Person-to-person, true self-to-true self. Choose Never to RetireI think, if you are true to yourself in the employment you choose, why would you want to retire? Perfect employment is truly you. Why would you want to retire from yourself? Be who you truly are. Live your truth, every day, in whatever you choose to do in this world. Whether you choose Me, Incorporated, or Me, Employee, be fully and truly you, and you can’t help but be satisfied at day’s end. Be You.

By Kim Victoria & Lynn Tosello “I Want,” “I Need,” “I Desire,” “I Wish” What words do you commonly use to describe your hopes, aspirations and dreams? How do your words affect your emotions? How might you be more accurate and transformative in stating what you feel would be a life improvement? Notice how carefully we crafted those questions? Words can be powerful or unimportant depending on how much emotional thrust you feel when you think or say them. Every thought you have is a creative thought! "I want"Want is one of the trickiest words in the English language because it carries both a positive and negative message at the same time. Positive meaning: wish, desire, hope, aspire, like Oppressive meaning: should, ought, need, must, demand Negative meaning: lack, be without, be missing, don’t have, deficiency, shortage, scarcity, deficit, poverty How do you feel as you read those different meanings? Interesting isn’t it. When you use the word want you probably feel a mixed message - you want something because you don’t have it, so you keep on wanting it and you keep on not having it. You say, ”But I really want it,” without realizing you are emotionally feeling lack rather than positive anticipation. It is your feeling of lack that produces more lack. "I need"When you truly desire manifestation of your goals, avoid the word need at all times. Need is about desperation, hardship, deprivation, poverty, distress, or demands. We do have basic human needs, but using the word need carries the emotional message that you don’t have something and, therefore, you will never get it. Want and need both carry the powerful emotion of not-having. How do you manifest what you don't have when you know you want and/or need it?Everything that exists started out as a thought propelled by an intention or a feeling. The feelings you have about your thoughts help them to come true, and the words you use help to create your feelings; they go hand-in-hand. Law of Attraction operates through your feelings, so make sure your thoughts create good ones. Be careful with your words. Pay attention to what you think and say about the things you’d like to have exist in your life. Do your best to stop using the words want or need. Write about the things you desire in ways that help you feel really good about them, then read what you’ve written as practice to reprogram your thinking process. Here are a few useful words to get you started:desire, wish, eager, enthusiastic, passionate, aspire to, wholehearted, great, devoted, excellent, earnest, get-up-and-go, interested, prefer, fancy, willing, committed, keen, motivated, dedicated, like, love Use them any way that feels good to you, and notice where you might normally have said the words want or need. The examples, below, can help you get the "hang" of it, but we encourage you to write your own statements that are exactly right for you. I am enthusiastic about receiving a new car. I am excited to get a job that is perfect for me. I prefer to have Chinese food for dinner tonight. A larger paycheck feels really good. It is nice to be able to buy a better house. I am creating a better relationship with my kids. I fancy a new pair of jeans. I’m willing to go the extra mile to make that happen. It’s fun to think about the future this way. I love receiving __________. How did that exercise feel?Notice how you feel when you change your words from want and need to these differently focused statements. It takes practice to shift your thinking in this way, and well worth it. The more attention you give to changing the emotional energy of your words, the faster you will see results in the manifestation. Your thoughts will have more power of creation when you feel positive about those thoughts. Trust the process and open yourself to receive your desires. Would you like some personal training in developing better feeling thoughts?
